Circular
Quay, circa 1910
No
structure in this scene survives today (although some of the trees on the
skyline do), but the role of the Quay was very much the same then. The impressive
ferry wharf on the left interfaced with the tram lines to carry commuters
back down into the city, a role for the massive people-moving capacity of
light rail which is, perhaps, on the verge of being reintroduced. |
